Flint has had a crush on Lexi since he was fourteen. Being two years older, Lexi never really paid attention. Twenty years later… Lexi’s personal life has come crashing down. When Lexi’s at her lowest, having a handsome man hitting on her sure feels good. It can’t hurt to flirt back, right? Maybe he’s the diversion she needs right now. While Flint might have the chance to make his high school dreams come true.
This is a stand-alone book, but much more fun if read along with the other Prince stories.
In the author's words . . .
The story is real life. It's fun to watch the characters change and grow. I liked how they enjoyed each other and how being together made them grow.
What story are you working on next, and what inspired it? My next series is about meeting at your twenty-year high school reunion. There are a lot of reasons why I chose thirty eight for my protagonists. A reunion puts the characters in a great situation for a cute meet, and the drama at thirty eight isn't always from being broken. My characters can be fully formed and healthy. By thirty eight there are a lot of complexities in peoples lives—jobs, family, divorce, and children. Dating with all those complexities make the story interesting.
What type of hero do you like best?
I don't like the bad boy or handsome hero. I like my men to be real. They typically are attractive and athletic, but not too pretty. I like men that are intelligent. My male heroes catch the women because they're good, sincere guys.
How much research do you do? I typically find a "muse," someone who has an interesting job or has gone through an interesting experience. I interview them and use their story as a back story for my characters.

Flint Is that her? I follow the attractive woman down the grocery aisle. That has to be her. I turn my cart around, race around the aisle, then attempt to casually walk up the aisle I saw her on, but this time from the other direction. I need to see if it’s really Lexi. For two years in high school, I was mesmerized by her. In a parallel world, if I could do high school again, she’s the girl I would have dated.
I watch as she scans the shelves. Peanut Butter. Okay, I’ll go with it.
“Does it make a difference, aren’t they all the same?” I casually ask as I lean in and snatch a jar. “Hey, aren’t you Lexi Wallace?”
“Do I know you?”
“In high school, you were friends with my sister, Emma.”
“Yeah, wow. It’s been a long time. You look different, a lot different. I wouldn’t have recognized you.
Didn’t I give you a college tour? But then you didn’t go to my school.”
“I’m Flint. Your tour was great, but I had family pressure, my old man wanted me to go to his alma mater.”
While I wanted to go to the same school as Lexi Wallace.
