ECHO OF DANGER by Marta Perry takes the reader into Pennsylvania Dutch country for a suspenseful and romantic ride. The author writes with vivid detail and made me feel like I was there in Echo Falls with Deidre, Jase, and the other characters. Deidre is battling with her father-in-law over where she should live with her young son. The man is powerful and dangerous to their delicate way of life after Deidre's husband's passing. She has to be strong, but that isn't made easy when Jase Glassman enters the picture. His job might have been to spy on Deidre but it doesn't take long before he realizes he's on the wrong side. When a threat to Deirdre and her son put them in danger, Jase is willing to risk everything to keep them safe. Marta Perry kept the story moving along and all I wanted to do was keep turning the pages. I love how the author kept the book clean but still created great romantic tension. This is the first book I've read by Marta Perry and it won't be the last.
